A devastating incident unfolded in League City as a 20-year-old woman lost her life after being struck by a vehicle on Thursday. The pedestrian accident occurred in the 200 block of S. Egret Bay Boulevard around 7:46 p.m.

Multiple calls alerted the League City Police Department. Upon arrival, officers and League City Fire Department crews discovered the woman on the east side of the roadway. The young woman was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is not yet known at this time. 

The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the site and has been fully cooperative with law enforcement. The League City Police Department Crash Team is actively engaged in a comprehensive investigation of the collision. They are seeking to understand the circumstances surrounding this fatal crash.
