According to the California Highway Patrol, a motor vehicle accident occurred in Tehachapi on Tuesday. The crash happened on Highway 58 east of Bena Road at around 3:35 p.m.
According to the investigators, a 2013 Infiniti and a 20-year-old were involved in the collision. The Infiniti driver traveling eastbound lost control of her vehicle and struck the center divider wall.
A 20-year-old woman was identified as the Infiniti driver who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed at this time.
Some portions of Highway 58 east of Bena Road are blocked for further investigation.
No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
