According to the Irvine Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday morning in Irvine. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at the intersection of Barranca Parkway and Vertical. The driver of a maroon Lexus sedan lost control of his vehicle. Subsequently, the vehicle collided with four trees, a pole and a fire hydrant before stopping.
The driver was identified as 20-year-old Tristan Thai Ngo. Ngo was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The cause of the accident is yet to be identified.
The crash continues to be investigated by the IPD. There are no other details available at this time.
