The Madera County Sheriff’s Office identified the two female victims as 20-year-old Teresa Freyear and 19-year-old Karima Buitron who were killed in a motor vehicle accident in Madera County.
On Friday roughly at 8:05 p.m., a woman was driving a Toyota Camry northbound at a high speed, on the lanes of Highway 99, north of Highway 152. The vehicle struck a light pole on the east shoulder of an embankment.
Freyear and Buitron, who were the passengers of the car, were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal crash. There are no other details available at this time.
