California Highway Patrol officers reported a motorcycle accident with a semi truck on Interstate 5 on Tuesday. According to the officials, the accident was reported around 5 a.m.
The 20-year-old motorcyclist was going north at an undetermined speed, while the semi-truck driver was also travelling north in the same lane at around 55 mph. The motorcyclist crashed into the back of the semi-truck. He was ejected into the centre divider.
The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time. He was pronounced dead at the scene, as he was fatally injured. It is not known whether the truck driver was hurt in the accident. His identity has not been disclosed at this time.
It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in this collision. There are no other details available at this time.
