The California Highway Patrol reported a motorcycle accident in San Joaquin County on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred on northbound Interstate Highway 5 at around 5:08 a.m.
According to the officials, a 29-year-old man was driving a 2022 Western big rig at approximately 55 mph when the front of the motorcycle collided with the rear of the truck. The fatal crash was reported north of French Camp Road.
The motorcyclist was ejected due to the force of the crash. He was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been disclosed at this time.
The driver of the big rig was uninjured. It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in this collision.
