According to the La Mesa Police Department, a motor vehicle accident was reported on Sunday.
The officials stated that the crash happened in the 8500 block of Dallas Street at around 6:33 a.m.
The officials stated that a man died after his vehicle struck a parked car and crashed into a telephone pole.
The San Diego County Medical Examiner is investigating the crash to determine the cause of the crash.
The preliminary investigation indicated that the driver was impaired.
Officials believe that speed was also a factor involved in the crash.
