A tragic collision occurred at the intersection of Route 66 and Riordan Road in Flagstaff. The accident resulted in the death of a 20-year-old woman, identified as Liana Skow. The fatal crash happened just after 6 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in the crash. One vehicle was thrown onto the sidewalk due to the force of the collision. This caused it to crash into Skow who was standing there.
Emergency crews arrived, and Skow was found to be critically injured and was rushed to Flagstaff Medical Center. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead.
The cause of the pedestrian accident is under investigation, and while impairment is not suspected, authorities are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision.
