According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Wednesday in Oceanside. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident. Authorities stated that the collision occurred off the freeway south of Oceanside Boulevard.
The driver of the Nissan Altima veered off the roadway and overturned. She then tumbled down an embankment.
The 20-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Other details including the identity of the victim remain unknown.
Alcohol or drugs have been eliminated as factors that might have caused the accident. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP. There are no other details available at this time.
