A fatal crash on Interstate 82 eastbound resulted in the tragic death of a Union Gap woman.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when two vehicles collided at high speed. Jazmine Gutierrez, 20, lost her life when her car struck the rear of another vehicle.
The second car, driven by a 52-year-old man from Naches with three passengers onboard, sustained no injuries despite the impact destroying both vehicles. Gutierrez was reportedly not wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident, including whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
