The Tucson Police Department reported a multi-vehicle accident last week. The accident occurred at the 300 block of South Country Club Road.
According to the officials, a motorcycle was headed south on the road when a Toyota minivan attempted to make a left turn in front of him. The two vehicles crashed into each other.
The motorcyclist had incurred critical injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. He succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. He has since been identified as 20-year-old Israel Antonio Martinez.
The driver of the minivan was not injured and remained at the scene. He cooperated with the investigation.
The officials have reported that excessive speed by Martinez and failure to yield caused the fatal accident.
