According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday in Macon.
Officials confirmed that a 20-year-old died due to the accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on I-75 southbound, near Pierce Avenue.
A Toyota Tacoma was traveling north, when it collided with a BMW 3281 going south.
The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was identified as a 35-year-old man.
He was transported to Navicent Hospital sustaining serious injuries.
The driver of the BMW 3281 was identified as 20-year-old Hamadoun Oumar Diallo.
Diallo was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
No further details pertaining to the crash are currently available.
The collision remains under investigation by the BCSO.
