A deadly, fiery crash rocked north Phoenix early Friday morning, prompting a police investigation. Officers rushed to the multi-vehicle accident at 27th Street and Greenway Road following multiple 911 calls reporting a car engulfed in flames around 5 a.m.
Firefighters swiftly extinguished the blaze, uncovering 20-year-old Christian Draganov inside the vehicle. While two passengers sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Draganov was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police revealed that during the probe, detectives determined Draganov lost control while travelling west on Greenway, crashing into five parked vehicles at a nearby business curve at 27th Street. Traffic along Greenway was halted for hours but later resumed. As authorities continue to delve into the circumstances, questions linger surrounding the fatal crash in north Phoenix.
