The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Lubbock County on Sunday morning. The accident occurred four miles west of New Deal just after 1:30 a.m.
According to the officials, two motorcycles were involved in the collision. One motorcycle was headed south on CR 2000 while the other was headed north. The two vehicles crashed head-on.
Both drivers were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have identified the victims to be 20-year-old Cash Mullins and 19-year-old Cutter Watson.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
