On Wednesday, 20-year-old Betsu Montes and 57-year-old Rafael Montes Sandoval suffered injuries following a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 90.
As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place shortly before 6:30 p.m. on the north freeway. The early reports showed that the 2016 Nissan Rogue with five occupants stopped at a red light in the left-hand turn when it got hit by an unknown vehicle from behind. On arrival, emergency crews transported Betsu Montes and Rafael Montes Sandoval to Samaritan Hospital with unspecified injuries.
The driver of the SUV, 24-year-old Amelia Montes and passenger 57-year-old passenger Modesta Montes remained unharmed in the crash. Medics also transported another SUV occupant to a hospital as a precaution. Officers have not found the hit-and-run driver, but they later located an abandoned 2014 Cadillac ATS. No other details are available.
