The Louisiana State Police responded to a Sunday morning motor vehicle crash on LA Highway 1 in Lafourche Parish. The crash happened just before 3:00 a.m. near St. Joseph Street.
The victim was identified as 20-year-old Bailey Barrios.
According to the police, Barrios was driving in a Ford F-150 with a trailer attached. He traveled off the left side of the road for unknown reasons and struck a tree.
Barrios was wearing a seatbelt during the crash. He sustained fatal injuries from the crash and died at the scene.
A routine toxicology sample was obtained for further investigations. An investigation into the fatal crash is under review.
