According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Thursday in Antioch. Officials confirmed that one person died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at the intersection of Lone Tree Way and Clayburn Road. Two cars collided with each other. This resulted in one vehicle rolling over, from which one person was ejected.
The ejected person was identified as 20-year-old Angela Fierro. Fierro was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The driver of the other vehicle was rushed to the hospital sustaining chest injuries.
The cause of the collision is suspected to be overspeeding. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
