According to the California Highway Patrol, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Sacramento on Thursday.
The crash happened on northbound Florin Perkins Road at around 10:15 a.m.
According to the investigators, a Toyota RAV 4 and two other unknown vehicles were involved in the collision. The officials stated that the driver of the Toyota ran a red light and struck two unknown vehicles.
Two women suffered significant injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. A 22-year-old man was identified as the suspect who will be booked and will face charges of DUI, hit-and-run, and vehicular manslaughter. The Sacramento Police Department did not reveal the identity and the name of both the suspect and the victims.
