2 women injured after a hit-and-run accident in San Diego (San Diego, CA)

Two women received injuries after getting struck by a vehicle Saturday in the Mountain View community of San Diego.

As per the initial information, the hit-and-run crash took place at around 1:45 a.m. in the 3700 block of Hemlock Street. The preliminary reports showed that the women had just come out of an Uber vehicle that was parked facing eastbound in the 3700 block of Hemlock Street when they were hit by a vehicle.

The women sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The vehicle left the scene, but was found a short time later unoccupied. Authorities have not provided a description of the suspect. No other information is available.

The incident remains under review.
