Sunland Park Fire officials state that 2 people were reported dead and 10 injured on Wednesday when the SUV they were traveling in rolled over around 8 miles from the U.S. – Mexico border. Officials stated that the motor vehicle accident took place at around 4:45 AM.
Records indicated the Chevrolet Tahoe also had another individual traveling in the vehicle, but there are no details at this time regarding their condition. Police officials confirmed the casualties in the fatal accident. However, they declined to comment on news agencies’ query on whether the law enforcement officers were pursuing the vehicle before the accident occurred.
