According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Cajon Boulevard at Keenbrook Road. Officials confirmed that two people died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred at Keenbrook Road, along the Cajon Pass. A white pickup truck collided with a gray sedan. Even after the airbags were deployed in both vehicles, the drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The drivers were the only occupants in both vehicles. Other information including the identity of the drivers remains unknown.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
