According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Monday morning in Manteca. Officials confirmed that two persons died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred near Industrial Park Drive, south of Van Ryne Avenue. The driver of a 1999 Toyota SR5 SUV crashed into the raised centre median curb. As a result of this, the truck overturned on its roof and the driver was ejected from the vehicle.
The occupant and driver of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The identity of the victims is not yet known at this time.
Other details pertaining to the accident are yet to be released. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
