The California Highway Patrol reported a fatal head-on crash on Sunday that left 2 people dead in Oroville.
A car travelling Southbound on Highway 149, north of Highway 99 crossed over a centre median and rammed into a truck that was travelling northbound. As a result, the truck caught fire.
The driver and the passenger in the truck were killed. The driver and the passengers in the car were rushed to the hospital with injuries.
The identity of the dead is not yet disclosed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further details are available at the moment.
