2 People Killed In A Pedestrian Accident In Sylmar (Sylmar, CA)

The Los Angeles Police Department reported a pedestrian accident in Sylmar on Thursday night. The accident occurred in the 13900 block of Astoria Street, near Foothill Boulevard at around 7:40 p.m. 

According to the officials, a vehicle and two people were involved in a collision. The events leading up to the collision are not entirely clear at this time. The officials have reported that it was not a hit-and-run as the vehicle involved did not flee the scene. 

One of the two pedestrians was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment but succumbed to their injuries and was also pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victims is not yet known at this time. 

The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time.
