Two tragic car wrecks on Saturday have left Texas Highway Patrol troopers busy with investigations. The first crash occurred in Wilbarger County on US 287 southbound near Oklaunion, involving three vehicles.
Sgt. Juan Gutierrez from the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed that two individuals lost their lives, and seven others were injured in this devastating collision.
The investigation unveiled that a Honda Odyssey, driven by Than Than Shwe, 43, from Vernon, TX, lost control on a curved section of US 287, crashing head-on into a GMC Yukon. A 9-year-old girl from Dallas, TX, who was a passenger in the GMC Yukon, tragically lost her life due to the impact. Her identity has not been disclosed at this time.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
