2 People Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Crash In Shiprock (Shiprock, NM)

A Shiprock man, 44-year-old Brian Gonnie, is facing federal charges following a DWI crash that claimed two lives and left another person seriously injured. Gonnie has been indicted on two counts of involuntary manslaughter and one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury by federal officials.

The indictment alleges that Gonnie drove a vehicle recklessly on December 1, 2023, which resulted in the deaths of two individuals and serious injury to another person. Gonnie appeared in court on Monday, and if convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison for these charges related to the fatal crash.
