The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District reported a multi-vehicle accident in Arden Arcade. 

The officials stated that five vehicles were involved in the crash on Sunday. 

The crash happened at Hallmark Drive and Howe Avenue at around 9:30 a.m. 

The officials confirmed that two people were killed in the crash. 

Four patients were taken to the hospital by ambulance, three people were released after getting the required treatments at the scene. 

The identity of the deceased victims is awaited by the officials. 

The Metro Fire confirmed that the California Highway Patrol will undertake the investigation. 

It is unclear whether drugs or alcohol were contributing factors in the fatal crash.
