The California Highway Patrol reported a multi-vehicle collision that killed 2 people in Compton on Tuesday.
Approximately at 12:30 a.m., two vehicles were racing at the intersection of Avalon and Compton Boulevards. One of them, a PT Cruiser went crashing into a fire truck leaving both the man and woman who were inside the vehicle dead at the scene, said the authorities.
The identity of the victims is not yet revealed. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
