The California Highway Patrol reported a fiery two-vehicle collision on Friday. The accident occurred at the 170 Freeway interchange, just after 5 a.m.
According to the officials, a big rig had crashed into a white van that had stalled in the lanes which resulted in a fire. The fire was extinguished due to the efforts of the firefighters.
The officials have reported that two people were found dead but they were unable to confirm if they were occupants of the big rig or the van. The deceased victims have not been identified at this time.
The fatal accident is still being investigated. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. There are no other details available at this time.
