2 People Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident In Prosser (Prosser, WA)

In a tragic multi-vehicle accident, two people lost their lives in a four-car collision. It was caused by a wrong-way driver on Interstate 82 between Benton City and the Tri-Cities.

David K. Clark, 76, of Prosser, was driving west in the eastbound lanes in a Chevy Silverado around 2:20 a.m.Sunday. Four miles past the I-182 and I-82 interchange, the pickup collided head-on with an eastbound 2019 Audi RS3. Both drivers, identified as Taj S. Sohi, 20, of Kennewick, and Clark, were fatally injured. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Subsequent collisions involved a 2015 Dodge Ram pickup and a GMC Acadia SUV, injuring its occupants. The driver of the Dodge Ram, Dalton J. Gifford, 24, of West Richland, was arrested for DUI. The investigation is ongoing on this fatal crash.
