The Michigan State Police reported a two-vehicle collision on Thursday.
The accident occurred on the westbound lanes of M-14 at around 2:30 a.m.
According to the officials, a vehicle was driving the wrong way on the highway and got into a head-on collision with another vehicle near the intersection of Beck Road.
The driver of both vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger in the second vehicle was taken to a local hospital with severe injuries.
The driver of the at-fault vehicle was simply identified as a 28-year-old man from Belville while the driver of the other vehicle was identified as a 44-year-old man from Canton. The passenger was a 35-year-old man.
No other details about their identities have been disclosed.
The officials suspect alcohol to have been a factor in the fatal crash.
The accident is still being investigated.
