According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Leon County on Saturday. The crash happened on Highway 79 at around 2:20 p.m.
According to the investigators, a 2014 Dodge and a 2021 Infinity were involved in the collision.
The passenger of the Dodge was identified as 72-year-old Barbara Johnson who suffered significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. 67-year-old Sandra Mcintosh was also pronounced dead and was identified as the passenger of the Infinity.
The drivers of both vehicles suffered significant injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment. Their identities have not been disclosed.
