The Leander Police Department reported a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 90 on Sunday. The officials confirmed that two people died in the accident. According to the officials, the deceased victims were not identified.
Around 11:30 a.m., the crash happened at the intersection of Hero Way and 183A Toll Road Frontage Road. The primary vehicles involved in the crash were a silver SUV and a tan SUV pulling a trailer.
The driver and front seat passenger of the silver SUV were found dead at the scene. The driver of the tan SUV fled the scene on foot, going southbound on the 183A Toll Road.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the fatal crash. It is unknown whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.
