2 People Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident In Harris County (Harris County, TX)

In a tragic head-on collision Thursday morning on Highway 249 in northwest Harris County, two individuals lost their lives, as confirmed by Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The fatal crash, involving two vehicles at 11500 Highway 249 and Breen around 8:02 a.m. 

A male driver and a female passenger were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity is not yet known at this time. A rideshare driver and passenger in the second vehicle sustained serious injuries but are expected to survive.

Sheriff Gonzalez indicated that speed was likely a contributing factor. Investigators are examining the possibility of impairment due to the intensity of the early-morning crash. The multi-vehicle accident led to the closure of Highway 249 in both directions, with the road expected to reopen around 11:30 a.m.
