According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Freestone County on Monday. The crash happened near the intersection of FM-2777 at around 12:30 p.m.
According to the investigators, a Mitsubishi and an unknown Jeep were involved in the collision. The Mitsubishi driver was traveling eastbound on the wrong side and struck the unknown Jeep.
Both the driver and the passenger in the Mitsubishi suffered significant injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are not yet known at this time.
The cause of the accident is still being investigated at this time. No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
