A tragic collision in Montgomery County claimed the lives of two individuals and left another in critical condition after two sedans collided head-on. The Caney Creek Fire Department and local EMS responded to the crash on FM 1314 near Creighton Road in Conroe around 6:15 p.m.
A Kia Forte travelling south on FM 1314 inexplicably crossed into northbound lanes, striking a 2024 Honda Civic. The multi-vehicle accident caused the Kia to catch fire, which firefighters managed to extinguish after rescuing a man and a woman from the vehicle.
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman, who initially went into cardiac arrest, succumbed to her injuries despite paramedics’ efforts. A woman in the Honda Civic was hospitalized in critical condition.
The victims’ identities have not yet been disclosed, and authorities continue to investigate the incident. FM 1314, was temporarily closed following the fatal crash.
