Tragedy struck in south Bexar County on Monday as two lives were claimed in a two-vehicle collision. The multi-vehicle accident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Highway 16 South near Smith Road.
Witnesses reported a speeding vehicle colliding with another. The driver and passenger of the second vehicle were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office.
The northbound lanes of the highway are currently closed to facilitate the investigation and cleanup. As authorities work to unravel the details surrounding this fatal crash, we await further updates on this distressing incident.
