2 People Killed In A Multi-Vehicle Accident In Amarillo (Amarillo, TX)

According to the Texas Police Department, a multi-vehicle accident occurred in Amarillo on Thursday. The crash happened northbound on I-27 at McCormick Road at around 2:30 a.m. 

According to the Department of Public Safety, a 2018 Ford F-150 and a  2022 Nissan Sentra were involved in the collision. 

The vehicles traveled over the McCormick Road at the same time and crashed head-on. 

The driver of the Ford came to rest in the left lane and it caught fire after impact. The Nissan Sentra  spun around and was pushed backwards by the impact. 

Alicia Bustos and Analuisa Mendoza were identified as the drivers of the vehicle and were pronounced dead at the scene. 

No additional information regarding the fatal crash was provided by the Deputies.
