According to the San Rafael Police, a solo motor vehicle crash took place in San Rafael that killed 2 people on Saturday.
Approximately at 7:00 a.m., a vehicle speeding at 70 mph, collided into a dead-end street and a canal. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found the car sunk into the canal. The two people inside the car were rescued. But unfortunately, they were pronounced dead on site.
The identity of the victims has not yet been disclosed. Alcohol or drugs may have played a role in the crash. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
