According to the officials, two men were killed in a motor vehicle crash in Madera County on Friday.
On Friday roughly at 9:50 p.m., a man driving a Nissan lost control of his vehicle and struck a man who was standing near another truck at Avenue 17 and Crescent Drive. Both the driver and the pedestrian were fatally injured and were pronounced dead.
Later the Madera County Coroner’s Office identified both the victims as 22-year-old Gustavo Quexada-Chavez Firebaugh and 42-year-old Arturo Carabez Ochoa.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. No further information is available at the moment.
