The California Highway Patrol reported a single-vehicle accident on Monday.
The accident occurred on Westbound Highway 198, just west of Highway 41 at around 7:15 a.m.
According to the officials, a Subaru lost control and veered off the highway. It then proceeded to roll over several times before coming to a rest.
There were two people present in the vehicle at the time of the collision. Both occupants incurred critical injuries and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The identities of both victims have not been reported at this time.
The fatal crash is still being investigated.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
There are no other details available at this time.
