Two individuals, including a child, tragically lost their lives, and at least 10 others sustained injuries in a devastating crash involving a school bus filled with pre-K students in rural Texas.
The incident occurred on State Highway 21, around 50 miles east of Austin, when the bus collided with a concrete truck.
The boy on the bus was killed, and another victim was in a Dodge Charger following the bus. Several injured individuals were airlifted to hospitals in critical condition, while others were transported by ground ambulance. The bus was carrying Tom Green Elementary pre-K students returning from a field trip to the Capital of Texas Zoo.
The events leading up to the crash have not been disclosed at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
