The Temple Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident on Thursday evening. The accident occurred at the intersection fo State Highway 317 and Little Mexico Road at around 6:15 p.m.
According to the officials, two vehicles were involved in a collision. One vehicle had three people and the other had two. The events leading up to the collision are not entirely clear at this time.
Four people were injured and were taken to a hospital for treatment. Two of them succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead. The identity of the deceased victims is not yet known at this time.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision. There are no other details available at this time.
