The Texas Department of Public Safety reported a motor vehicle accident in Kilgore last week. The accident occurred on TX-42 at around 6:15 a.m.
According to the officials, a Chevrolet Silverado was headed south on the highway at a high speed. It then approached a curve at the same high speed which made it hard to negotiate the turn. This caused the vehicle to leave the road and roll over several times.
There were two people present in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Both of them were fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene. They have since been identified as 35-year-old Jonathan D. Pepper and 52-year-old Stacey L. King.
The cause of the fatal crash is still being investigated. There are no other details available at this time.
