The Fontana Police Department reported a motor vehicle accident in Fontana on Saturday night. The accident occurred on Valley Boulevard near Cypress Avenue at around 10:45 p.m.
According to the officials, they tried to stop a vehicle for code violations, but the driver did not comply, leading to a high-speed pursuit. The vehicle then crashed into a responding patrol unit after losing control. The driver and one other person were fatally injured and were pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the deceased victims is not yet known at this time. It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the fatal collision. There are no other details available at this time.
