According to the California Highway Patrol, a fatal crash was reported on Saturday in Tehama County. Officials confirmed that two people died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred south of Los Molinos, on Highway 99. Two vehicles collided with each other. Subsequently, the vehicles burst into flames.
Two occupants stuck inside the vehicles were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. Other information pertaining to the accident including the identity of the deceased is yet to be determined. The cause of the collision has not been released.
The crash continues to be investigated by the CHP.
