According to the Pomona Police Department, a fatal crash was reported on Sunday night in Pomona. Officials confirmed that two persons died due to the motor vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred on North Garey Avenue, near East Bonita Avenue. Two vehicles crashed into one another. An SUV with three occupants was found in an overturned state.
The driver and front passenger were pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The other occupant was transported to the hospital in a critical condition. The identity of the deceased victims has not been disclosed at this time.
An 18-year-old man was arrested in connection with the wreck. The crash continues to be investigated by the PPD.
