The California Highway Patrol reported a motor vehicle accident on Monday morning. The accident happened on Vasco Rd close to Brentwood at around 6:40 a.m. 

Three vehicles were involved in the collision: a grey Acura Integra moving north, a silver Honda Fit moving south, and a silver Nissan Altima moving south. According to CHP Officer Adam Lane, after rear-ending the Honda, the Nissan swerved into the northbound lane and struck the Acura head-on.

Both the Nissan and Acura drivers were declared dead at the scene of the accident. The Honda’s driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. None of the three cars involved had any passengers. The identity of the deceased victims is not yet known.

After the fatal crash, Vasco Road was closed but reopened around 9:30 a.m.
