The Louisiana State Police responded to a fatal crash that killed two people. The crash occurred on LA Highway 1 just before 9 p.m.
The crash claimed the life of 33-year-old Santiago Cascillo of Texas, and 51-year-old Chad St. Pierre of Grand Isle.
According to troopers, Cascillo was driving south on LA Highway 1 in a 2014 Dodge Durango at a high speed when it crossed the center line and hit the 2019 Toyota CHR, driven by St. Pierre.
According to state police, Cascillo and St. Pierre died at the scene.
No further details regarding the crash are currently available.
The crash is being investigated.
