According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a fatal crash was reported on Friday morning in Surprise.
Officials confirmed that two people died due to the multi-vehicle accident.
Authorities stated that the collision occurred westbound on Grand Avenue (US. 60) and Mountain View Boulevard.
A pickup truck traveling westbound side-swiped two other vehicles.
One person was thrown out of the truck and pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck.
Another passenger was also found dead from blunt force trauma.
The pickup truck was heavily damaged as it hit an embankment.
The identities of the deceased have not been disclosed.
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation by the Arizona Police.
